I've recently started to use a digital camera I bought well over a year ago. As with most things I do now, I've been thinking about how I can use it to turn a buck.
Not surprisingly, the net holds a plethora of related earning possibilities. Hope to one day investigate some of the ones listed here.

One of the advantages of Blogger is that you can write multiple blogs all from the one place. So I thought I'd take advantage of this and create another one.
I've got an idea for one that I've been mulling over of late. I live in Sydney, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. And I get around the city quite a bit. Since Sydney is so diverse in so many ways, I thought of documenting my travels within it in a kind of micro-travel blog. I do have a digital camera, and when I figure out how to use it and post the photos to Blogger, I think I might have quite an interesting project.
The challenge is to actually get around to doing this, though. Always harder to achieve than to dream about ...

Have recently joined Adsense through Blogger. I'd recommend this to other bloggers, since if you manage to build up some decent traffic you'll eventually earn some money for your trouble. Once you have an Adsense ID you can also participate in revenue sharing with other sites, such as certain article directories.
In researching this I've discovered that, understandably, quite a few people are concerned that having your Adsense ID embedded into another person's site might be seen as a bit of a no-no by Google. But apparently it's okay.
Still, I'd recommned caution if you are to do this.
For the time being I'll just stick with having Adsense on this site and see how things go ...

When I first heard about news anchor Mika Brzezinski refusing to read out a story about Paris Hilton I suspected her outrage might have been faked. I just couldn't accept that a newsreader -- highly paid no doubt -- would jeopardise her income by acting so unprofessionally.
Looks like many other people saw things this way too.
In the story linked above, the final lines are, "When it comes to Paris, we've all had enough".
Clearly not true. If it were, the piece wouldn't have been written. We all know that Paris Hilton is a vain twit. But she still draws huge interest, let's face it.
It seems that this condemnatory technique of reporting on Paris Hilton is a way for media organizations to get their ratings and, er, disavow them too.

For ages the Road Traffic Authority has used increasingly graphic ads to try to dissuade hoons from hooning.
Now they're trying a very different, more minimilistic approach. I suspect it might be the most successful campaign yet.

I think the outrage over this Big Brother goo-throwing incident is pretty over the top. Still, I can understand why Mexicans were miffed. The goo-target, the Mexican flag, does represent their country, after all.
Let's just hope that the goo-throwers -- the yokels pictured here -- don't represent Australia!
Gawd help us if they do.
